Michael Maricondi

General Manager/Glove Academy Lead Teaching Artist

Michael Maricondi is a Connecticut Native and NYU graduate (BFA Tisch School of the Arts/CAP21) He has lived and worked in France (Blax, À La Recherche de la Petite Souris) where he received his Master's Equivalent in Film Acting and Cinema Studies from Acting International, under the pedagogy of the late Robert Cordier. Michael was last seen on stage in Florida Studio Theatre’s piano rock cabaret, Three Pianos. Favorite roles include Junior (The Good Person of New Haven, Long Wharf Theatre, with Raùl Esparza), Mercury (Cupid & Psyche, NJ Rep), and Pablo (Being Audrey, The Transport Group). Michael toured with Sharon Klein's Who Loves You?: A Tribute to Frankie Valli and Beyond, where he sang lead tenor and falsetto. He has appeared in several movies including Dracula Reborn (Nate) and Mais Il Est Où, Woody? (Peter, Cannes Film Festival) as well as a few operas with Pacific Opera Encores and Voice Afire where he originated the role of Pablo Neruda in My Life With Pablo Neruda. He has written ten musicals and is the Co-Founder (with his late mother, Carol-Anne Gaetano) and Artistic Director of Trust Your Gut Productions whose first musical, When Push Comes to Shove, was written with long-time friend and collaborator, Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend). Michael, an accomplished educator, is the lead educational artist for The Glove’s Summer Academy (Kampfire Stories, Bacchanalia ’22, Fairy Tales…Flipped!). He is the former Co-Chair (with Stanley Bojarski) of the Production Committee and First Chair of the Educational Committee on The Glove Theatre Board.
